Members of the Police proceeded to arrest a 25-year-old man, for the purpose of investigating a case of arson. Quantities of drugs were found in the suspect's residence, as a result of which he and his 23-year-old roommate were arrested for drug possession cases.
Specifically, at around 11.30:25 yesterday afternoon, members of the Limassol Police Department went to a residence in Limassol, following information that the XNUMX-year-old suspect resides there, against whom a judicial arrest warrant had been issued, in connection with an investigated case of arson. The members of the OPE located the suspect at the residence and proceeded to arrest him, pursuant to the court warrant.
Since during the presence of the members of the Police at the residence, suspicions of possession of narcotic substances were raised, the residence was searched with the consent of the suspect and his 23-year-old roommate. During the search, a quantity of cannabis weighing 25 grams, a quantity of cannabis resin, weighing 41 grams, a quantity of narcotic substances in mushrooms, a total weight of 13 grams, and a quantity of crystal and other substance, weighing 15 grams, which is also believed to be drugs. In the 13-year-old's room, a quantity of cocaine weighing 23 grams was found, as well as a precision scale with traces of cocaine.
The two suspects were arrested for apparent drug possession offences. Later yesterday, the 23-year-old was released, with the Police investigating a drug possession case against him, while the 25-year-old was arrested with a warrant, for the purpose of investigating a drug case with the purpose of supplying another person.
The two drug cases are being investigated by YKAN (Limassol Provincial Unit), while the arson case is being investigated by the TAE Limassol.
