A 35-year-old man is being treated at the Larnaca General Hospital, with his health condition considered out of danger, after he was attacked on the evening of Tuesday, July 5, by two unknown persons, when he visited the apartment of his ex-partner in Livadia, Larnaca district .

As Haris Hatzigiasemi, press representative of the Larnaca Police Department, reported to KYPE, around 9 last night, information was received that there was an injured person in an apartment in Livadia. Members of the TAE of Larnaca and the Police Station of Voroklini went to the scene and from the tests carried out it was found that he was a 35-year-old man.

He added that "according to the information collected by the Police, the 35-year-old went to an apartment where his ex-partner lives in Livadia, Larnaca province, in order to discuss some personal issues".

"Upon his arrival in the area, specifically outside the door of the apartment, the 35-year-old was attacked by two unknown men," he said.

The 35-year-old, Mr. Hatzigiasemi continued, "tried to escape, however the two unknown persons managed to stop him and after beating him in various parts of his body, they fled on foot. An ambulance was called to the scene and transported the injured man to the Larnaca General Hospital where he underwent various tests."

According to the treating doctors, "it was established that the 35-year-old man had a brain injury, a fracture of the left hand's fibula and a blunt trauma to the right temporal area. Due to his injuries, the man was kept for hospitalization in the surgical department and his condition is considered out of danger".

The Police conducted examinations at the scene while the 35-year-old is expected to give a statement, in order to provide information on the possible causes of his beating and whether he knows the two persons who attacked him.

Still, the investigators of the case are expected to receive information about the episode from closed monitoring circuits that may exist in the area.

The case is being investigated by the Voroklini Police Station.
