According to Sigmalive, With the announcement of her name by the President of the Department of Chemistry and two steps after receiving her degree, the graduate of the Department of Chemistry, Andria Michael, accepted a marriage proposal, shortly before leaving the stage, from her boyfriend Andrea Costa.
Sigmalive contacted Andreas, not only to wish the best to both the graduate herself for a good career in her later career, but also to wish the best in the young couple's life. We asked Andreas how this was accomplished and he told us that he had made his decision earlier, but his proposal had not been accepted by the Authorities of the University of Cyprus, as such a thing, as is well known, is forbidden in official ceremonies. "Even though I knew that I could not go on stage to hand her the ring, respecting the normal flow of the Ceremony, nevertheless upon hearing the name of Andria, I approached the stage and while I was waiting for her to come down, she realized in my presence. Having no other choice and excited as I was, I approached a little closer giving her the ring to receive in turn the coveted "yes". "I'm sure this caused some embarrassment and certainly a slight disturbance in the flow of the program for a few seconds, but you realize the great anxiety that occupied me at that moment."
According to information, the attendees applauded this unexpected event and many were the ones who hurried to congratulate them.
