Effective supervisory control at the National Medical Association is a "permanent position" of the Pancypriot Medical Association, states the PIS in a press release it issued, on the occasion of public statements by the General Directorate of the OAU and the OSAK press conference on the issue of insufficient supervisory control of the National Medical Association.
The PIS underlines that "the effective supervisory control of all, providers and beneficiaries for the use of the system, and indeed by an independent authority, is and has been from the beginning a fixed position and requirement of it".
Furthermore, he expresses his satisfaction with the fact that "OSAK admits that control of everyone is necessary and that in addition to providers, beneficiaries who do not act properly should also have consequences", which he expects "to be recognized by the General Address of the OAU".
"Those who participate in the Board of Directors of the OAU, and especially the General Directorate of the Organization, must be held accountable for the inadequacy in the exercise of supervisory control and for the ineffective treatment of abuses", it is added.
"Responsibilities are not washed away by communication maneuvers. Responsibilities are assumed with immediate corrective actions and everyone's involvement", states the PIS.
Finally, the Pancypriot Medical Association "reaffirms its determination to make a decisive contribution to addressing these problems in a spirit of cooperation and collegiality, away from sterile confrontations to ensure the sustainability of the NHS and more broadly for the good of health in our country".
