On 28 February 2022 at 19.30, during the football match at the Hermes Polemidion stadium in Polemidia, between the football teams of the Youth Centers of the Settlement of Agios Ioannis and Oras, (agricultural championship) a 25-year-old who was playing with one team attacked and beat person, 20-year-old football player opponent.
The 20-year-old after being examined at the Limassol General Hospital, was found to have a fracture of the cheekbones and the bones of the upper jaw.
An arrest warrant was issued against the 25-year-old, under which he was arrested yesterday afternoon and placed in custody to facilitate investigations.
