With a new announcement, the Department of Meteorology warned of extremely high temperatures for Monday.
Specifically, a yellow warning was issued for Sunday night until Monday morning, while an orange warning will be in effect until Monday afternoon.
According to the announcement, between 11:00 and 18:00 on Monday, an orange warning will be in effect and the maximum temperature will be around 44 degrees in inland areas and around 35 degrees in the higher mountains.
The forecast in detail:
Seasonal low pressure and warm air mass affect the region. Dust will be observed in the atmosphere until Wednesday, the concentrations of which may be increased at times.
The weather will generally be mostly clear, however increased average clouds will be observed at times. Winds will be mainly south-west to north-west weak to moderate 3 to 4 Beaufort and locally on the west coast up to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be somewhat rough. The temperature will rise to around 44 degrees inland, around 37 on the east and south coasts, around 34 on the west and north coasts and around 35 degrees in the higher mountains.
Tonight the weather will be mostly sunny. Winds will be mainly west to northwest light, 3 Beaufort, and transient locally to moderate, 4 Beaufort.
The sea will be somewhat rough. The temperature will drop to around 26 degrees in the interior and the coasts and to 25 degrees in the higher mountains.
On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday the weather will be mostly sunny and warm.
The temperature will drop on Tuesday and not change significantly on Wednesday and Thursday, but it will still be above the average climatic values.
