Weak high pressure is affecting the area, while a relatively cold air mass is expected from Friday.
Today the weather will be intermittently mostly cloudy with medium and high clouds. Winds will be southwest to northwest and initially locally variable, weak, 3 Beaufort and later locally to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to a little rough. The temperature will rise to around 20 degrees in the interior, around 22 on the northern coasts, around 21 on the other coasts and around 13 degrees in the higher mountains.
Tonight, there will continue to be intermittently increased high cloud, but westerly areas will also see transiently increased low cloud. Winds will blow southwest to northwest and locally to north, weak, 3 Beaufort and passing in the wind up to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to a little rough, however later in the west and north it will become a little rough. The temperature will drop to around 10 degrees inland, around 12 on the south and east coasts, around 13 on the north coast, around 14 on the west coast and around 6 degrees in the higher mountains.
On Thursday, locally increased clouds that will be observed, may give isolated rain, mainly in the northeast, while the region will be affected by an enhanced westerly air current.
On Friday, the weather will be mostly clear, but locally increased cloudiness will probably give isolated rain in the afternoon, mainly in areas south of Troodos. On Saturday, the weather will be mostly sunny.
The temperature until Saturday is expected to drop gradually, to fluctuate close to or even slightly below the average climatic values.
