What is the last day to register in the Presidential electoral roll?

The Ministry of the Interior announces that in the upcoming Presidential elections, which are scheduled to be held on February 5, 2023, all citizens of the Republic, aged 18 years and over, who have their habitual residence in Cyprus and are registered in the electoral roll, have the right to vote .

Those who are not registered in the electoral roll, have the right to register if, on the date of the Presidential Elections, i.e. until February 5, 2023, they will reach the age of 18.

It is pointed out that the last day for submitting the application for registration in the electoral roll will be December 27, 2022. It is noted that after December 27, 2022, no new registration and/or change in the electoral roll can be made. Therefore, beneficiaries are encouraged to take relevant actions in a timely manner, in order to be able to exercise their right to vote.

Citizens can obtain the relevant forms from the local Offices of the District Administrations, from Citizen Service Centers, Citizen Centers (Cyprus Post Offices), from the Central Elections Service, while they can also be downloaded electronically from website of the Ministry of Interior at elections.gov.cy.

It is noted that the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy is developing a special platform for electronic submission of applications for registration in the electoral roll, which is expected to be operational on October 10, 2022. To this end, a new announcement will be issued to inform the public.
