Officials of the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection are expected to go on a safari in the polling stations in order to determine whether there are any violations of the law.
A related announcement states that the electoral roll is available to the parties/candidates in each election, for purposes of transparency and control of the electoral process, based on the Decision of the Council of Ministers with No. 34.361 and date 1.11.1990. Voters' ID number, date of birth and father's name are not included in the electoral rolls provided to the parties/candidates.
It is legal and legitimate for representatives to take notes during the election process.
During voting, the voter's ID card number is not called out, as there is a risk of it being shared with unauthorized persons.
After the end of the election lists and notes should not be used for other purposes, incompatible with the original purpose of collecting the data and should be destroyed.
