The indications foreshadow an afternoon of severe discomfort or heatwave conditions due to humidity, the Director of the Meteorology Department, Kleanthis Nicolaidis, reported to Protoselidos.

He explained that a very weak low pressure system is affecting the middle atmosphere in the eastern Mediterranean. That is why today in the afternoon hours it is not excluded that isolated rains or isolated storms will fall in the mountains or in the interior.

The temperature will be slightly below normal and will rise to 34 degrees in the interior, 30 degrees on the western coast, around 32 on the rest of the coast and 24 degrees in the higher mountains.

The forecast in detail:

Seasonal low pressure affects the area.

Today the weather will initially be mostly clear, but gradually increased clouds will develop which are expected to give isolated rains, without ruling out the possibility of a storm, mainly in the mountains and inland areas. Winds will initially be variable, light 3 Beaufort to gradually become mainly southwest to northwest, light to moderate 3 to 4 Beaufort and transient on the southern coast, up to strong 5 Beaufort. The sea will be a bit rough. The temperature will rise to 34 degrees in the interior, to 30 on the western coasts, around 32 on the rest of the coasts and to 24 degrees in the higher mountains.

In the evening, the weather will be mostly clear, but at times there will be locally increased low clouds. Winds will gradually become northwest to northeast and on the northern coast southeast, weak 3 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to a little rough. The temperature will drop to 19 degrees inland, around 21 on the coast and 16 degrees in the higher mountains.
