The roads leading to Troodos, and in particular the Platres-Troodos, Karvounas-Troodos and Prodromos-Troodos roads, will be open ONLY to vehicles with four-wheel drive or equipped with anti-skid chains as of around 1.30pm on Monday, since the road surface has become slippery due to frost.
At the same time, on the Paphos-Limassol highway in both directions towards Paphos and towards Limassol, in the Pissouri and Paramali areas, water accumulation is observed due to the rains that are occurring, resulting in the road surface being dangerously slippery.
The rest of the road network in urban areas, as well as on motorways, does not present any particular problem, despite the prevailing winter and rainy conditions.
Information on road works being carried out in various locations across Cyprus and which may affect traffic HERE.
Police advise those who will be traveling on the road network, who are required to comply with the traffic code and traffic signs, to avoid road collisions.
