Paphos Police arrested two people on Monday at Paphos airport in two cases of forgery and impersonation.
They are a 27-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman.
According to the Police, on September 18, during the passport control at Paphos airport, it was found that a 27-year-old person presented a French passport, which was suspected to be fake. Further examination revealed that the person who presented it was very different from the photo of the person depicted in the passport. The 27-year-old was arrested for the self-impersonation offense and was taken into custody.
Moreover, in a second case, a 32-year-old woman presented herself on Monday afternoon at Paphos airport and during the passport control she presented a Belgian identity card which, as it turned out, was fake. The 32-year-old was arrested and taken into custody.
The examinations for the two cases above are being investigated.
