Protective mask of Chinese origin among dangerous products

Dangerous products, which do not meet the current legislation that sets out the basic safety and health requirements, have been placed on the market of the European Union, as broadcast by the Press and Information Office.

Dangerous products, which do not meet the current legislation that sets out the basic safety and health requirements, have been placed on the market of the European Union, as broadcast by the Press and Information Office.

Among them is a protective mask of Chinese origin.

The Department of Labor Inspection of the Ministry of Labor, Welfare and Social Insurance, informs employers, self-employed persons and the consumer public that according to data registered in the Rapid Information Exchange System (RAPEX) the following products are dangerous.

Specifically, these are:

Parts of the engine control system (emergency switch, master switch that locks in the off position, safety interlock and operation selector) that are not connected to a secure part of the machine control system may fail. As a result, the operator may be electrocuted or injured. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Machinery Directive and the European standards EN ISO 12100: 2011 and EN 60204-1: 2019.

The product is CE marked but has not been certified as protective equipment by a Notified Body. Consequently, the product is not shown to meet health and safety requirements and therefore does not protect even if combined with additional protection measures. The product does not comply with the European Regulation on personal protective equipment.
