The Police filed a complaint against 20 citizens and 9 people in charge of the premises, in the last 24 hours, after 1.848 inspections carried out throughout Cyprus, in order to verify the observance and implementation of the decrees of the Infection Law.

As a representative of the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters stated in KYPE, 379 inspections were carried out in Nicosia, during which 2 heads of premises were reported. In Limassol, 183 inspections were carried out, from which 9 complaints of citizens and 3 people in charge of premises emerged.

In Larnaca, 458 inspections were carried out and 2 citizens and 2 people in charge of premises were reported. In Paphos, 106 inspections were carried out, from which 2 complaints of citizens emerged. In Famagusta, 375 inspections were carried out and 4 citizens were reported, while in the Morfos area, 179 inspections were carried out and 2 premises were reported.

The Traffic Police carried out 162 inspections throughout Cyprus, without any complaint. From the controls at the country's airports, 3 complaints of citizens emerged. From 4 port police checks, no complaints emerged.

In relation to the fines, in the province of Nicosia for 2 kiosks an extrajudicial notice of payment of a sum of € 500 was issued to each, as employees did not have a safepass.

In Limassol, members of the Police issued an extrajudicial fine in 2 mini markets and 1 kiosk, amounting to € 500 each, as in one mini market there was no check for safepass, in the second the person in charge worked without safepass, while the kiosk did not have the necessary markings.

In Larnaca an extrajudicial fine of € 750 was issued in a cafeteria and € 500 in a shop, as the employees did not have sasfepass.

In Morfou, an extrajudicial fine of € 1500 was issued for one restaurant for which complaints arose and € 750 for the other, due to the fact that there was no check for safepass and the necessary markings did not exist.
