The Police proceeded to arrest a 24-year-old man in the early hours of the morning, to facilitate investigations regarding an investigated case of robbery and illegal possession of property, which was committed a short time earlier in Larnaca.
The investigation of the case began after a complaint from a 21-year-old resident of Larnaca, that he was the victim of a robbery. As the complainant complained, at around 1.20 am. today, while he was walking on a street in Larnaca, he was approached by an unknown man, who pointed a knife at him and stole his mobile phone and a €20 banknote. The policemen moved towards the unknown man, who tried to escape by running. The members of the Police followed him and managed to stop him at close range.
As it was established, this is a 24-year-old man, in whose possession, after a check, a knife, a mobile phone (of the same make and model, as the one stolen from the 21-year-old) and a number of bank cards, issued to various persons, were found.
