Tomorrow, Tuesday, the traditional military parade for the 64th anniversary of the declaration of the Republic of Cyprus will take place in Nicosia, while the start of the parade will be preceded by the firing of 21 salute cannons.
According to an announcement by the Ministry of Defense, the salute of the parade will be received by President Nikos Christodoulidis and the President of the Greek Government Katerina Sakellaropoulou, flanked by the Minister of Defense Vassilis Palmas, the Deputy Minister of National Defense Ioannis Kefalogiannis and the Chief of the National Guard Lieutenant General Georgios Tsitsikostas.
In particular, the parade will start at 11 am. and will be held on Iosif X Iosif Avenue, with the participation of motorized, pedestrian units and aircraft of the National Guard, the Cyprus Police, the Fire Service, the Civil Defense, the Department of Forestry and the Health Services.
The parade will also be attended by a military parade of the French Armed Forces and aircraft from France and the United Kingdom.
The military parade will be attended by Ambassadors and Defense Envoys of foreign countries and other officials, and will be held in the presence of the public, the announcement concludes.
