Fuel prices in Cyprus have been on a downward trend since February 27, the director of the Consumer Service, Konstantinos Karagiorgis, told the Morning Route, noting that a new reduction of four to five cents per liter is expected in the coming days.
Asked to comment on the delay in the reduction of prices compared to international fluctuations, Mr. Karagiorgis said that there is definitely some lag, noting - however - that Cyprus is ranked among the cheapest countries in Europe in terms of fuel.
Referring to the e-cart, Mr. Karagiorgis said that because the mobile applications will be ready in approximately fifteen days, it was decided to provide it to consumers in its entirety, a few days after Easter.
At the same time, he rejected the claim that it was deliberately not implemented before Easter, pointing out that the e-cart is here to stay.
