The Fire Service was mobilized at dawn due to fires that broke out in a house and a car on two different occasions in Limassol.
The first fire broke out at 01:15 after midnight, in a residence located in the area of Agios Ioannis. At the time of the fire, the 52-year-old resident of the house was absent from the house.
The fire was extinguished by members of the Fire Department who rushed to the scene, however it caused extensive damage to the house, the amount of which has not yet been calculated.
According to the Police, at first glance, the fire seems to have started from inside the house and it is estimated that it is an accidental fire.
A few hours later, specifically at 04:10 in the morning, a fire broke out in a car while it was in the parking lot of an apartment building where its owner lives.
The car suffered extensive damage from the fire, the amount of which has not yet been calculated.
It has not yet been determined whether it was arson or an accidental fire. The scenes of both fires remain under guard and investigations are ongoing.
