Police in riot gear stormed a rally on Saturday, removing hundreds of protesters by truck. Police in riot gear stormed a rally on Saturday, removing hundreds of protesters by truck.

Police have received testimonies from those involved and witnesses, and are now analyzing videos from the incident plus photos taken by Russian Svetlana Zaitseva to forward the case file to the Legal Service next Friday or early next week. As reported by "F" by the Police, in order for possible criminal prosecutions to be carried out on the basis of the legislation on the fight against certain forms and manifestations of racism and xenophobia, the Attorney General will have to give his approval. Police Chief Kypros Michailidis described the case as very serious yesterday and confirmed that he will soon be taken to the Attorney General.

Information from "F" states that yesterday an eyewitness testified to the Larnaca TAE that she had noticed the incident, since at that time she would leave the specific parking lot with her vehicle. The witness spoke of a very intense verbal attack on the two Greek Cypriots by the Russian woman when she asked them to stop because they had crashed another vehicle. She informed the person in charge of the parking lot about the incident and asked him to call the Police, while she had realized that the incident was being videotaped from the Russian mobile phone.

Her testimony, which is considered independent, is considered crucial because it gives the opinion of a third party who was not involved in the incident and is considered unaffected.

At the same time, the investigators are scientifically examining the two videos in their hands in which the shocking events that took place were recorded and will contrast them with the testimonies given by the four women involved. Russia's mobile phone is being tried in court so that any testimony obtained from the recording of the scene can be used in court, while the Social Welfare Services are also conducting their own investigation, because the incident took place in front of two minors.

Yesterday, the Chief of Police, Cyprus Michailidis, stated that "some further investigations are being carried out regarding this case and it is expected that this case will be completed very soon and will be brought before the Attorney General, because it is one of the offenses that need the approval of the Legal Service." bring such a case before Justice. " I believe, said Mr. Michailidis, that all the things that should have been done have been done and we are continuing our exams.

Asked if the case is expected to be brought before the Attorney General before the end of the week, he said: "We may not be able to do it in time, but the instructions are certainly that the investigation should be completed as soon as possible, because we believe that the case is very important and serious and justice must be done.
