Yesterday was another night with extremely low temperatures, with the mercury exceeding record temperatures at some stations, the Meteorology Department announced.
Such stations are the radiological station in Athalassa and the station in Frenaros, with -3,7 and -1,2 degrees Celsius respectively.
For Athalassa, it is reported that -3,7 degrees Celsius ranks it in first place with the lowest temperature ever recorded since the station opened. The second was recorded in 2 and was -1985 degrees Celsius.
Correspondingly, -1,2 degrees at Frenaros is the lowest temperature ever recorded since the station's opening day.
In Troodos last night, temperatures ranged from -9,1 degrees, -9 in Prodromos, -3,7 in Athalassa, -1,2 in Frenaros, -0,4 at Larnaca Airport, zero at the new port of Limassol, 0,9 in Polis Chrysochous and 1 degree at Paphos Airport.
