The rotating power outages were avoided last night.
Speaking on the Morning Schedule, the representative of the Transmission System Operator, Hara Koussiappa, noted that two units that experienced a problem were repaired in a timely manner and integrated into the production system.
He also reported that two other units in Vasiliko operated beyond their nominal capacity, providing an additional forty megawatts.
Ms. Kusiappa noted that during the night the peak demand was only marginally met.
He said that the peak demand was one thousand one hundred and eight megawatts, at seven thirty last night, noting that it remained high for a long time.
Hara Koussiappas also stated that demand was covered exclusively by conventional production, as the contribution of renewable energy sources yesterday was negligible.
