The announcement of the Grant Plan for Beach Organization and Safety Projects, with emphasis on improving infrastructure for people with disabilities (2019-2020), was announced by the Ministry of Tourism.
According to an announcement by the Ministry of Tourism, the beneficiaries of the Plan are Local Authorities (Municipalities and Community Councils).
Under the Plan, part of the cost may be covered for projects related to strengthening the organization and safety of the beaches with the necessary equipment (eg cleaning / recycling bins, lifeguard towers) and improving the existing infrastructure on the beaches, for people with disabilities, related to mobility difficulties and the creation of infrastructure for other groups of people with disabilities (eg ramps / beach walkways, amphibious wheelchairs, additions to existing sanitary facilities for people with disabilities, signs for visually impaired in Braille) .
The aid of this Plan is granted based on the approved budget of the Ministry of Tourism for 2019 and 2020.
The amount of the grant is determined up to 70% of the net estimated cost (excluding VAT) for each eligible object, infrastructure project and with a maximum amount of € 15.000 per Local Authority.
Deadline for applications is October 15, 2019 for projects related to 2019 and until February 28, 2020 for projects related to 2020.
