Almost 6 thousand new vaccination appointments were arranged today until 09:30, through the Vaccination Portal, in the framework of the implementation of the National Vaccination Plan for COVID-19.

The Vaccination Gate opened today at 7:30 am for people 27-28 years old and will be open until 8 pm.

According to the Ministry of Health, until 9:30, 5.796 appointments were scheduled for vaccination out of the 9.700 given to the citizens.

Besides, yesterday with the closing of the Gate, 9.419 appointments were arranged for people aged 29-30, out of the 12.600 that had been given.

Problem at the Portal

In the meantime, in a communication that KYPE had with a source from the Ministry of Innovation and Digital Policy, it was mentioned that the Vaccination Portal is still operating normally, without presenting any problem.

As of May 9, 371.430 vaccinations had been given

As noted by the competent Ministry, until May 9, 371.430 vaccinations were given, with the administration of 42,2 doses per 100 inhabitants.

284.264 (38,4%) concern individuals who were vaccinated with the 1st dose, while 87,166 concern individuals who completed their vaccination regimen (11,8%).

It reopens on Wednesday

The Vaccination Portal will reopen tomorrow, Wednesday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm and for ages 25-26.

The Vaccination Portal will be accessible only to the ages mentioned in each case and not to older people. Vaccinations will be done with the available licensed vaccines at the Vaccination Centers that operate in all Provinces.

Vaccination coverage per Province

Moreover, while appointment scheduling is proceeding normally, a significant proportion of the population has been vaccinated by Province.

More specifically, in Nicosia the vaccination coverage is 37,1%, in Limassol 34,6%, in Larnaca 35,6%, in Paphos 40,1% and in Famagusta 33,1%.
