The Police Internal Audit Service (PIAS) is investigating a case against a member of the Police that concerns the following offenses:
Abuse of power
Decadent
Transactions with agents that indicate corruption
Violation of official secrecy and disclosure of state secrets
Fraud and breach of trust by a Public Official
Disobedience to provisions of laws imposing a duty
On the Protection of Natural Persons with regard to the Processing of Personal Data and on the Free Movement of such Data.
The examinations are continuing by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, while the member of the Police has been placed on leave following instructions from Mr. Themistos Arnaoutis, Chief of Police.
The Police Leadership emphasizes once again that the fight against corruption is a priority. The Police remains committed to its mission, serving society with integrity and respect.
