The situation with the fire in Attica will be reassessed today and Athens will inform about any aid dispatch from Cyprus.

The press representative of the Fire Department, Andreas Kettis, wrote in a post: "After communication and constant briefing of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nikos Christodoulidis, by the Minister of Justice and Public Order, Mr. Marios Hartsiotis, on the situation of the fires in Greece, the Archpriest, Mr. N. Longinos contacted again the Chief of the Greek Fire Brigade Lt. General Theodoros Vaya where he expressed again today the intention of the Republic of Cyprus to send aid.

The Chief of the Hellenic Fire Brigade informed the Chief Fire Chief about the current situation, he told him that the Hellenic Fire Brigade is operating with many air and ground forces in order to contain the fires and depending on today's development and evaluation on their part they will return for a mission assistance from the Republic of Cyprus".
