A fire broke out in the early hours of Wednesday in a warehouse in the Limni area of Polis Chrysochous, with firefighting forces attempting to extinguish it.
According to a post by Fire Service Spokesperson Andreas Kettis on Platform X, the Polis Chrysochous and Rural Fire Station responded at 05:17 in the morning with four staffed fire engines.
The fire, he adds, broke out in a large agricultural warehouse, which is located next to an agricultural road and is constructed with cement slabs and roofed with metal sheets.
The firefighting effort is also supported by the Forestry Department with a tanker truck as well as a private excavator.
Initial information indicates that there is agricultural equipment inside the warehouse. Firefighters are attempting to extinguish the fire with the necessary equipment. The causes of the fire will be investigated after it is completely extinguished.
