Mercury is expected to reach 41 degrees today and the Meteorological Department issued a yellow warning.

The warning was issued yesterday at 1800 and is valid until today at 1600. Last night the minimum temperature was expected to be around 27 degrees inland and on the coast. Today the maximum temperature inside is expected to be around 41 degrees.

Hot gas mass affects the area.

Today, the weather will be mostly clear, although from noon onwards there will be locally increased clouds, mainly in the mountains. The winds will initially blow variable 3 Beaufort patients, to gradually become marine, weak to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to a little turbulent. The temperature will rise to around 41 degrees inland, around 32 degrees on the west coast, around 35 degrees on the rest of the coast and around 31 in the higher mountains.

Tonight the weather will be mostly clear. The winds will blow mainly southwest as northwest and locally variable, initially weak 3 and locally up to moderate 3 to 4 Beaufort and later weak up to 3 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to a little turbulent. The temperature will drop to around 25 degrees inland, around 24 on the coast and around 20 degrees in the higher mountains.

On Thursday, Friday and Saturday the weather will be mostly clear.

The temperature will gradually rise slightly until Friday and slightly drop on Saturday, to be significantly above the average climatic values.
