The Police are investigating a case of assault against a 29-year-old man, who was found injured at around 1.10am today in an abandoned building in Limassol.
According to the evidence under examination, the 29-year-old, while he was outside the abandoned building, was allegedly attacked by three unknown individuals, who, after hitting him in the back with an unknown object, fled in an unknown direction.
The injured man was transported by ambulance to Limassol General Hospital, where it was determined that he had sustained a pneumothorax and was kept for hospitalization, with his health condition considered serious but stable.
Another person was identified at the scene, a 28-year-old man, who appears to have friendly relations with the 29-year-old and is the person who spotted him injured and called the ambulance.
Subsequent examinations revealed that the 28-year-old had been residing illegally in the territory of the Republic of Cyprus since 2022 and was arrested for the flagrant offense of illegal residence.
