An earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter scale was felt around eleven in almost all the provinces of Cyprus.
An announcement from the Department of Geological Survey states that at 11:09 a noticeable earthquake of magnitude 5 on the Richter scale was recorded by the seismological network.
The earthquake had its epicenter in the maritime area, 110 kilometers northwest of Poles Chrysochous with a focal depth of 32 kilometers. It was strongly felt on the southern coasts of Turkey, felt in the provinces of Nicosia, Paphos, Kyrenia and Limassol and felt in the rest of Cyprus.
The phenomenon is monitored by the Seismological Center of the Geological Survey.
