The autopsy on the body of the 4-year-old boy who died yesterday in a swimming pool in Paphos is being performed today, Wednesday.
According to the press representative of ADE Paphos and Head of TAE Paphos Michalis Nikolaou, the autopsy will be performed at 11:45 by medical examiners Angeliki Papetta and Orthodox Orthodoxou at the mortuary of the Paphos General Hospital.
Mr. Nikolaou noted that the examinations are continuing in order to investigate the circumstances under which the death of the 4-year-old boy occurred
Referring to the history of the case, Mr. Nikolaou noted that yesterday Tuesday around 10:45 a four-year-old boy was taken by his parents to a private doctor in Paphos unconscious. After the tests, it was found that he was dead.
As Mr. Nikolaou mentioned, it appears that the child was spotted around 10:20 by his mother in the communal pool of the apartment complex where he lived with his parents and was immediately taken by her and his father to a private doctor. The circumstances under which this tragic event occurred are being investigated.
Mr. Nikolaou noted that the origin of the little one is from Syria and that the legality of the family's stay in the Republic of Cyprus is being investigated.
