Today, Tuesday, the meeting of the President of the Republic Nikos Anastasiadis with the social partners is taking place with the aim of completing the consultations on the introduction of the minimum wage in Cyprus and on parental leave.

The meeting is scheduled for 9:30 am on Tuesday and will be attended by the Minister of Labor and Social Insurance, Kyriakos Kousios, the employers' organizations KEVE and OEB and the trade unions SEK, PEO and DEOK.

The introduction of a national minimum wage is a priority for the Government. As the Director of the Press Office of the President of the Republic, Andreas Iosif, had stated, President Anastasiades "will take the initiative to complete the consultation with the social partners which, despite the fact that it reached the final stage, was nevertheless not completed due to the untimely death of Zeta Emilianidou".
