The Paphos Police are continuing their investigations on the case of the discovery of a human skull in the area of Koloni on Sunday afternoon.
According to the Press Spokesman of ADE Pafos and Head of TAE Paphos Michalis Nikolaou, the investigations continue today Monday by members of ADE Pafos in collaboration with Civil Defense volunteers.
Mr. Nikolaou noted that the human skull found in a rural area of the Pafos district will be sent for specialized tests, in order to verify other details and parameters regarding the conditions of its discovery.
The tests continued to focus on locating the rest of the human body after locating the skull and any other evidence that will help them investigate this case.
Referring to the history of the case, Mr. Nikolaou said that on Sunday morning, around 10:00, a person who maintains a livestock unit in a rural area between the villages of Kolonis and Marathoustas, informed the Police that he found a human skull outside his premises .
As he said, it is likely that the skull was brought there by dogs, which roam freely in the surrounding area.
He added that with specialized tests and with the taking of genetic material, an effort will be made to clarify whether the human skull that was found is related to the absence of any missing person.
