A 25-year-old woman and two minor children were attacked by three dogs in the industrial area of Moni, according to the Police. The dogs were taken to a veterinarian while their two owners were arrested.
According to a police statement, following information received on Sunday, around 9:45, that dogs had bitten a woman and two children in the industrial area of Moni, members of the police went to the area, where they found a 25-year-old woman with two children aged six and three. The 25-year-old woman and the three-year-old were injured in various parts of their bodies and were taken by ambulance to Limassol General Hospital.
The three-year-old was discharged with instructions, while the 25-year-old was admitted to surgery to have her wounds stitched. Her health condition is considered by the attending physicians to be out of danger.
Further tests revealed that the attack was carried out by three dogs that reside in a house in the area, the statement said. The dogs' owners, aged 43 and 36, were arrested on warrants and taken into custody to facilitate questioning. The dogs, which were unmarked and unlicensed, were taken to a veterinarian.
The Moni Police Station, in collaboration with the Limassol Police Training Institute, is continuing the examinations.
