A 19-year-old Syrian man was brought before the Limassol District Court on Sunday (19/4), against whom crimes related to sexual abuse of a minor and rape are being investigated.
The case unraveled on November 5, 2025, when a 14-year-old girl was taken to Limassol Hospital in unbearable pain. During the examination, it was determined that she was 34 weeks pregnant. The doctors immediately proceeded to deliver the baby, while they then informed the Police and an investigation began.
According to information, the 14-year-old, after being taken to a safe place, told the Police that the child was the result of rape. Specifically, she said that she was raped by an unknown man of Syrian origin. The man in question took her to a secluded place in Limassol and raped her.
Following police investigations, the 19-year-old was located, arrested and taken into custody.
The young suspect is being investigated for the crimes of sexual abuse of a minor, rape, kidnapping for the purpose of secret and unjust confinement, threats and stabbing.
