The serious injury of a 35-year-old motorcyclist is the result of a traffic accident that happened in the community of Anaritas half an hour after midnight on Sunday.
According to the Assistant Police Director of Paphos Operations, Michalis Nikolaou, half an hour after midnight on Sunday, a traffic accident occurred in the community of Anaritas.
Members of the Kouklion police station went to the scene where it was established that the driver was a 35-year-old permanent resident of Cyprus originally from Ukraine.
Further examinations showed that the 35-year-old while riding his motorcycle from the Anarita roundabout towards the center of the village, at some point on the road under circumstances that are being investigated, seems to have lost control of his vehicle and collided with a residential wall with resulting in immobilization.
He was injured and taken by ambulance to the Accident and Emergency Department where, according to the doctor on duty, he suffered a fractured sternum and pelvis and was admitted for surgery.
His condition is described by the treating doctors as serious.
The Paphos Traffic Police is investigating the causes of the accident.
