According to the Police, a cyclist was transported to the Accident and Emergency Department of the General Hospital of Paphos after being injured in a car accident.
Specifically, the 62-year-old cyclist was injured at 15:45 yesterday when he was swept away by a car outside the sixth primary school in Kato Paphos. Members of the Paphos Traffic Police went to the scene.
The 62-year-old, originally from Scotland, was detained for treatment at Paphos Hospital, after being transported in serious condition, according to the treating doctors, but not critical.
The driver of the vehicle, a 46-year-old foreigner, underwent an alcohol test without exceeding the limit.
The examinations for the cause of the accident are being investigated by the Paphos Traffic Police.
