€1.000 will be the payment of a six-month one-off honorary allowance to the victims of the Turkish invasion, following the decision of the Council of Ministers on Tuesday.
According to a clarification from the Ministry of Labor and Social Insurance, beneficiaries are:
Category 1: patients receiving a special monthly pension from the Patients' Relief Fund as well as
Category 2: other persons who have served either as prisoners of war or as civilians/non-conscripts, who are included in the respective registers of the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of the Interior, and who are not entitled to a pension from the Republic of Cyprus and to whom no monthly pension is paid honorary allowance from the Social Insurance Services.
According to the announcement of the Ministry of Labour, as an exception, for 2022 the beneficiaries will be paid a one-time honorarium of €2.000, in a total installment.
In addition, it is noted that no action is needed on the part of category 1 beneficiaries, as relevant arrangements will be made by the Patient Relief Committee, while for category 2 beneficiaries, a relevant notification will be issued shortly by the Ministry of Labour.
