A 77-year-old woman was the victim of a robbery inside her home, in Souni village, Limassol district, on Monday, as two unknown persons allegedly threatened her and took money and jewelry from her.
According to the Police, the incident occurred shortly after 10 pm on Monday, when the two perpetrators, who had their faces covered with masks, entered the house from the closed but unsecured northern entrance.
According to the complainant, under the threat of wood, one of the perpetrators immobilized her in the living room area, asking her for money, speaking in Greek, but with a foreign accent.
The second went to the bedroom where he located and seized, under the bed mattress, three bags containing a total amount of 2.500 euros and a credit card, according to the complainant. In addition, he allegedly took jewelry from a wooden piece of furniture, including a gold ring, worth approximately 500 euros.
At the same time, the first robber, with the use of force, allegedly removed from the neck of the 77-year-old woman a gold chain with a cross, worth a total of 750 euros, while he tried to remove, also by force, the gold wedding ring she was wearing, but without to succeed.
Subsequently, the two unknowns left the scene and disappeared, while the victim informed the Police, whose members visited the scene for on-site examinations.
