In Austria to expand bilateral cooperation Min. of Labor and Deputy Research

The Minister of Labor and Social Insurance, Kyriakos Kousios and the Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy, Kyriakos Kokkinos, are in Austria for contacts, with the aim of expanding Cyprus-Austria cooperation in the field of digital transformation, from Wednesday.

According to a joint announcement by the two Ministries, the delegation includes the Director General of the Ministry of Labour, Andreas Zachariadis, the Director of the Social Insurance Services, Evangelia Georgiadis, as well as officials.

As stated, the purpose of the visit is to explore the perspectives of transnational cooperation for the exchange of know-how, good practices and existing solutions for the modernization and digital transformation of the procedures and services of the Ministry of Labour, and specifically of the Social Insurance Services, in the context of the wider effort to universal modernizing the state machine and providing faster and more efficient service to the Cypriot citizen.

It is also noted that during their presence in Austria, the two Ministers will be received by the Minister of Labor and Economy of Austria, Martin Kocher, as well as by the Minister of State for Digitization, Florian Tursky.

In addition, they will meet, among others, with officials of the Federal Ministry of Labor and Economy of Austria, responsible for digital transformation issues, as well as the Directorate of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, the Austrian Labor Office and the country's Pension Insurance Fund.
