Serious road collision Around 9 pm last night, while a 72-year-old man was driving his car on Michalakis Kyprianou Avenue in Paphos, under circumstances that are being investigated, he lost control and after going off the road, crashed into a concrete water tank and then overturned.
The 72-year-old was transported by ambulance to Paphos General Hospital where he was kept for hospitalization after suffering from broken ribs, vertebrae, hemothorax, abrasions and a head hematoma. He was kept for hospitalization in the Intensive Care Unit. It is noted that a breathalyzer test was performed on the driver with an initial reading of 90μg and a final reading of 84μg.
The Pegeia Police Station, in collaboration with the Paphos Traffic Police, are continuing the examinations.
