In Brussels, President Anastasiadis against the background of Turkey's illegal actions

The President of the Republic, Nikos Anastasiadis, is going to Brussels today, where he will participate in the Summit of the European Council.

In Brussels, the President of the Republic will be accompanied by the Government Spokesman Mr. Kyriakos Kousios, the Director General of the Directorate General for European Programs, Coordination and Development Mr. Theodosis A. Tsiolas, and officials.

Today the President of the Republic will participate in the Summit of the European People's Party which precedes the Summit of the European Council.

The topics that will occupy the work of the European Council that will take place on 17 and 18 July are the Multiannual Financial Framework 2021-2027 and the Recovery Plan.

In the Council, the President of the Republic is also expected to raise the issue of Turkey's illegal actions against the Republic of Cyprus and its sovereign rights.

On the sidelines of the Summit, President Anastasiadis will also have a one-on-one meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and representatives of European institutions.
