UN Deputy Secretary-General for Political and Peace Affairs Rosemary DiCarlo has a meeting with the President of the Republic, Nicos Anastasiades, from 10 am at the Presidential Palace.

Mrs. DiCarlo is accompanied by the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General in Cyprus, Colin Stewart, two UN officials accompanying Mrs. DiCarlo from New York, and other officials from the UN Goodwill Mission in Cyprus.

Also participating in the meeting are the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Konstantinos Kombos, the negotiator of the Greek side, Menelaos Menelaou, the Government Spokesman, Konstantinos Letympiotis, the Director of the Diplomatic Office of the President, Marilena Raunas, and the Director of the Press Office of the President, Viktoros Papadopoulos.

At 12 noon Mrs. DiCarlo will meet with the Turkish leader, Ersin Tatar, in the occupied territories.

At 3 pm he will inaugurate a photo exhibition of the United Nations in Cyprus, on the subject of women's participation in the Cyprus talks, in the area outside Ledra Palace, where he will also meet with a bi-communal group of women. The First Lady, Filippa Karsera Christodoulidis, will also be present at this event.

Later today, Ms. DiCarlo will meet with members of the Commission of Inquiry on Missing Persons.

Tomorrow morning he will visit the dead zone in Nicosia. Also tomorrow he will fly by helicopter from Nicosia to Famagusta along the ceasefire line. In the area of ​​Famagusta, Mrs. DiCarlo will meet with Slovak peacekeepers, while she is also expected to visit the walled city of Varosia.

Tomorrow he will also meet with a bi-community youth group.

On Friday morning he leaves for New York. Next week he will be in Brussels together with the Secretary General of the UN, Antonio Guterres.
