Today's publication of Phileleftheros states that there is intense maritime activity around Cyprus.
Among other things it is mentioned that "Or in the area east and southeast of Cyprus off the gulf of Famagusta and Cape Greco, within the area of responsibility of Cyprus, which has been repeatedly committed in recent years by the Russian Navy for exercises, NATO will conduct exercises today. A specific commitment of the region was also made -as in the Russian exercises- through the Republic of Cyprus which issued a relevant NOTAM. "The next day, from tomorrow until April 25, the Russian air force and navy will conduct exercises in the same area."
