Two people ended up in a private hospital yesterday, after a fight between dozens of people, in Limassol. The Police are conducting tests to identify those involved and issue arrest warrants.
According to the TAE Limassol, at around 21:15 information was received that about 50 people of Arab origin had gathered on Vasileos Pavlou Street and were arguing with each other. Patrols from the Limassol Police Department went to the scene, at the sight of whom these persons fled.
From evidence obtained, it was established that about 30 people, members of a family from Syria, holding crowbars and sticks, attacked members of another family, also from Syria, damaging six of its vehicles.
A 43-year-old and a 29-year-old man were injured in the attack, who were taken to a private hospital to undergo medical examinations. As it was established, the first has a concussion and was detained for hospitalization, while the second received First Aid and was released.
