A 40-year-old man was arrested on Thursday at Larnaca Airport to facilitate Police interrogations regarding an ongoing case of conspiracy to commit a felony, conspiracy to defraud, and fraudulent transactions in real estate belonging to another.
A statement from the Police Communications Branch states that the man was arrested on Thursday, March 20 "as part of an investigation into a case of usurpation of Greek Cypriot properties located in the occupied areas of the Republic. The 40-year-old suspect was arrested pursuant to a court warrant at Larnaca Airport, where he went yesterday morning to depart for another European country."
It is added that a case is being investigated against the 40-year-old regarding "conspiracy to commit a felony, conspiracy to defraud and fraudulent transactions in real estate belonging to another."
