"First of all, I would like to express our sorrow at the loss of the President of the European Parliament. David Sassoli was a great Italian and proud European visionary whom we all mourn today.

With regard to the work of the Foreign Affairs Council, in the context of the priorities set by the French Presidency, which we support, we examined current and very important issues related to the Common Security and Defense Policy with emphasis on the Strategic Compass that will guide our joint efforts. in the European Union in the coming years.

We also discussed the European Strategy for Space and were informed about the illegal actions of state and non-state bodies in the areas where European Missions and Operations are active, as well as possible countermeasures, where as the Republic of Cyprus, we support the development of common capabilities to deal with hybrid threats.
