A fire broke out at noon on Wednesday 10/07 in a reedbed, trees and wild vegetation despite the Larnaca salt pan.
According to Fire Department Spokesman Andrea Ketti, the Fire Department responded with four fire trucks from Larnaca fire stations and are supported by another fire truck from the Department of Forestry.
There are buildings and residences in the area and an effort is being made to protect them from the ground forces.
In addition, a recall is made outside of staff service. A firefighting aircraft has been activated and is operating in the area.
At the same time, a fire broke out in Pafos District. According to Andrea Kettis, in the area of Androlykou, the Forest Department and the Fire Service are operating on the ground, as well as an aerial unit.
