The Minister of Labor and Social Insurance Kyriakos Kousios has been holding separate meetings with the social partners since Thursday morning on the issue of the minimum wage.
As the KYPE is informed, the meetings with the social partners (PEO, SEK, DEOK, OEB, KEBE), which are held at the Ministry of Labour, started at 9.30 in the morning and will last throughout the day.
The Minister sees each trade union and employers' organization separately and then, within the day, he will hold a joint meeting with all the trade unions and then with the employers' organizations.
The final decisions are expected to be taken at the joint meeting of trade unions and employers' organizations that will take place tomorrow, Friday, at 11.00 at the Ministry.
Today, the minimum wage stands at €870 upon recruitment and €924 after six months of employment with the same employer.
