Meter replacement crews are continuing the mass installation of smart meters in all the Regions of the Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC) in May, as the EAC announced on Tuesday.

In an announcement, the EAC states that in addition to the areas mentioned in its previous announcement, the installation of smart meters will also take place in Nicosia, in the area between Stassinou Avenue to the green line from the height of the Orpheus Stadium in Nicosia to the Paphos Gate (within the walls).

The crews are also working in Germasogeia - Mouttagiakka, in the area North of the Limassol-Nicosia Road from the height of the Agios Athanasios Industrial Area to Agios Tychonas.

In Larnaca, the installation continues in the Vergina area of Zenon Settlement and Kamares Settlement II, as well as south of Dr. Vasos Lyssaridis Avenue at the height of Kamares, while in Paralimni, work is being carried out on both sides of Kapparis Avenue from the height of the Agia Triada roundabout up to the intersection of George Papadopoulou Street, as well as in part of the area near Archbishop Makarios III Street, north of the old Paralimni Stadium.

In Paphos, the work is taking place in the area between Kato Pervolia Avenue, Apostolos Pavlos, Gladstonos, Nikodimos Mylonas, Evagoras Pallikaridis, Thermopylae, Fellachoglou and Afroditis.

The EAC states that in order to safely replace the meter, the supply will be interrupted for a period of time that is not expected to exceed 20 minutes. Finally, the Authority apologizes for any inconvenience caused.
