Today, two days after the attack by Iran against Israel, with ballistic missiles, flights to and from Tel Aviv from and to the airports of Cyprus continue.
According to data from Hermes Airports, today there are 6 scheduled arrivals at Larnaca airport from Tel Aviv, while four flights with the same destination are expected to depart.
Meanwhile, passengers of flights whose final destination was Israel and due to the attack by Iran on the night of October 1, made a diversion and landed at Larnaca airport, left on other flights to Tel Aviv.
However, some of the passengers chose to stay in Cyprus.
Normally also from Paphos airport
Paphos airport today Thursday as well as yesterday has not been affected in any way due to the situation prevailing in the Middle East, after the attack, with hundreds of ballistic missiles, on Tuesday night by Iran against Israel as sources from Hermes report to KYPE Airports. Flights are "continuing as scheduled," they added.
The same sources report that flights from Paphos airport to Israel are now operating normally. There are, as mentioned in KYPE, some Israeli companies that operate flights normally.
However, no flights from various European countries, which were destined for Tel Aviv, diverted to Paphos airport.
In relation to the situation with arrivals and departures at the airport due to the situation in the Middle East, the sources state that no increased flow of visitors has been observed at Paphos airport.
It is the normal traffic that they expected in the month of October, without there being anything special for Paphos airport, they add. Some flights may be "fuller", however, they believe, this is not about the situation in the Middle East and cannot be recorded as an effect related to the war situation in the Middle East.
